We just got added to the Reverend Horton Heat New Years Eve show at House Of Blues. We'll be opening things up with Nashville Pussy coming on after us. Then very special guest Lemmy of Motorhead will be doing a short set with the Reverend Horton Heat as his backing band. To close the night out the Reverend Horton Heat will play a full set. We're completely honored to be playing this show and can't wait to rock in the new year with the Rev and Co.

Our January 7th show at Kadan has been changed from a birthday party to a memorial benefit show. Riki who's birthday we were going to celebrate was shot and killed the other day in her home. We'd like to ask that you all come out to the show as that means more money for Riki's family to cover funeral costs.

ok, so we just received "Tales Of Rum And Whiskey" from the pressing plant. Now begins the treasure hunt for Thee Corsairs bottles "washed ashore" across san diego. We'll give out clues for every bottle once they are in place. Find the bottle and follow the clues on the message inside. Finder of a bottle gets a free copy of the record and a limited edition gold doubloon button.
Clue #1:
the dark red cavern where the undead gather for a cup of rum. top shelf only if you please.

August 25th, 2007 ..: OCTOBER RELEASE :..
Just got some news from Dan over at Inka that "Tales Of Rum And Whiskey" is now at the pressing plant and should be in our hand in time for the album release party at Bar Pink Elephant on October 25th. Once we get the records in we'll get some photos of them up on the site. Can't wait for you guys to hear it all.

We have just been added to the Avalon Tattoo 18th Anniversary Party at the Casbah. We've played it before and we're glad to be asked to come back and play again. Doors are open early so make sure you get there early as well. All the info is to the right.

We have set up a "digital store" so you can buy our music online. Currently you can buy the 4 tracks on our myspace profile that are from the "Tales Of Rum And Whiskey" album as well as the entire first release we did. Remember the first album is with our old singer/guitarist Von Scott so it's a little different sound. The thing is it's no longer available in any other format but mp3. However, you can only get that as a full album and not individual tracks. It's cheaper that way for ya. Anyway, here is our online store or you can just go to our myspace profile to access it.

First off we added a show on the 26th of April at the Ken Club with our buddies The Love Me Nots. I also uploaded some new and old flyers from past shows. Lastly we sent in our application to play at the San Diego County Fair. We'll let you know if anything happens with that.

Promotion of the week (month? year?): For Thee Corsairs' upcoming limited-edition picture disc, Tales of Rum & Whiskey, Britain's Inka Records has kept with the album artwork's pirate theme and printed up a limited number of "gold dubloon" buttons, which will be attached to "treasure maps." These will be put into bottles and placed in mounds of sand in various locations in England and San Diego. The person who finds a button will get a free copy of the album and bragging rights. Clues can be found on the label's website. www.myspace.com/inkarecords.

Welcome to 2007. Yes we all made it through New Years Eve safe and sound. First I wanna say that we are done with the record and it's going to be shipped to the plant to be pressed next week. It sounds pretty rad and the artwork is amazing. We'll have the art on our site soon. You can check it out on our myspace page as well as a few songs from the recording are posted on there. Second the all ages show I mentioned in the last update has been moved to Squid Joe's in Carlsbad. It's no longer all ages so sorry to all you young folks out there. We'll get a show set up for ya soon. We're thinking of hitting the road again this year so when those dates get worked out we'll post em.
